Sigarilyas Giniling sa Gata

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 250 g ground beef or pork
  • 1/2 kg sigarilyas winged beans, sliced thin
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped chilies for spice

Method
 

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
  2. Add ground meat. Stir-fry until browned and cooked through.
  3. Add fish sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in the coconut milk. Let it simmer and reduce until slightly thick.
  5. Add sigarilyas and optional chili. Stir and cook until beans are tender but still crisp.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot with rice.

Notes

  • Add more coconut milk if you like it soupier.
  • Best enjoyed on a rainy day or when you need cozy comfort food.
  • For extra health benefits, sprinkle with malunggay leaves before serving.
